Remote Access Trojan (RAT)
Remote Access Trojans are a form of malware that are designed to infiltrate a victim's computer stealthily and remain silent, so no particular symptoms of infection are clearly visible on the machine. These Trojans are designed to steal passwords, banking information, identities, as well as installing additional malware and hijacking cryptocurrencies and other important personal data. The main target of these Trojans, however, is cryptocurrency users. ElectroRAT has capabilities such as uploading files from disk, downloading files and executing commands on the victim’s computer, keylogging (keystroke logging), and taking screenshots.
How is RAT distributed?
